Operation Odyssey Dawn > Anyway Oddest Poisoner

When I first heard the mission name “Operation Odyssey Dawn” I wondered if maybe there was some alterior message hidden within its’ contents. This thought struck me because of the original mission name Operation Iraqi Liberation (which was later changed to Operation Iraqi Freedom, to eliminate the negative connotation), whose initials spelled O.I.L.

It did not take long to realize Operation Odyssey Dawn is an anagram for Anyway Oddest Poisoner. I found this very fitting, as war is a form of poison, if I may say so myself. The anagram Anyway Oddest Poisoner also happens to strike me as something American. It just seems to fit. Gaddafi’s been doing some evil stuff in Libya, but America always seems to be involved in other people’s business. In that sense, perhaps America is the world’s “Oddesst Poisoner, Anyway.”

I’m not a fan of what Gaddafi’s doing, but I’m also not a fan of all out war. Anyway, Oddest Poisoner to the rescue with Operation Odyssey Dawn, apparently. At least, for now.

World War III is Officially Underway

Call me a cynic if you must, but there is no avoiding the truth – I am, as far as I know, the first person to officially declare that World War III has officially begun.  It is indeed a sad state of affairs when I am the first person to officially announce the beginning of the third World War.  I didn’t think it would come to this – I always thought someone would beat me to the punch, but I’ve been proven wrong – by myself.

In case you’ve been living in a cave and do not know how World War III came about, let me give you a brief recounting a past events.  In the 19-teens, our world had its’ first World War, also known as “The War to End All Wars.”  LOL.  Unfortunately, the war to end all wars did not end all wars, or even all world wars.  In the early 1940′s, a second World War took place, which was aptly named  World War II – amazingly such a name came about before the advent of CNN, FoxNewsCrap and MSNBCLMNOP.  Hard to believe, but true.

Amazingly enough, World War II was not dubbed “The War to End All Wars” even though its’ predecessor was – and that was the first indication that there would be a third World War.  And now, in the early 21st century, World War III has begun.  While I’m proud to have the scoop, I’m simultaneously not so proud, as it is another sad day in the World.

What I See When I Watch a “Science Fiction” Movie

Any time I watch a movie like Equilibrium (the human race has gone so far as to wipe out emotions, since they have been deemed the root of war and hatred), I can not help but think our World is on a path headed for a similar outcome.  I have a feeling some people watch science fiction movies and think they are just fantastical stories that are entertaining to watch, but when I watch such movies, I see exactly where we are headed if we continue down the path we are on.

I can very easily envision a powerful figure, such as George Bush, fumbling through a speech attempting to convince the public that, “we need to eradicate the weapons of mass destruction lodged within our brains.”  Sadly, I see it as a feasible possibility due to the supporting evidence for such a thesis that I bear witness to every day.  Perhaps what makes the notion so daunting is that I can see a tiny shred of truth in the horrid concept.  Perhaps this shred scares me, because if I can see that, then who knows what some bumbling fool from Texas can see – got nothing against Texas, just certain people from Texas, or at least a certain person.

So, I suppose, what I see when I watch a “science fiction” movie is, well… science fact.  I see these so-called seemingly far-fetched movies as mere extensions of the path some want to take us down and it pisses me off and scares me. 

War in Iraq and War in General

The War in Iraq has cost over $516 Billion.  Regardless of the cost, I’m not a fan of war.  However, that’s a cost of over $4,600 per household, $1,700 per person and $341 Million per day.  I can’t think of anything more ludicrous.  Call me crazy.  However, I don’t think $516 Billion is even the greatest cost we are sacrificing.  I think we are sacrificing the lives of every American – beyond those dying in Iraq.  Personally, I know I die a little every day from this utter disgrace.  So much so that I’d be willing to move off to the middle of nowhere to live in some remote ecovillage to escape.  Oh wait, I’ve already done that.  I may have to move to Antarctica next.

War advocates always say, “War is better than terrorism.”

NO, IT’S NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

War IS terrorism.

Furthermore, I’ve somehow become a supporter of it by paying taxes that fund it.  It pisses me off to no end.  There should be an option to not pay taxes involving war funding.  Period.  Most taxes, I have no problem with, but as far as I’m concerned, by paying war taxes I’m a terrrorist.  Plain and simple.  War is terrorism.  When the $*#& are we going to figure out that we have to lead by example.  The United States of America contributes more pollution per capita than any other nation.  As such, we have declared war on the environment.  Therefore, as far as I’m concerned, any country could logically claim war on us, validating us as terrorists since we are destroying the Earth.  Yet, somehow, we obnoxiously suggest that other countries need to stop thier bullshit.  What about our bullshit?  F-$% this.  I’m pissed off and fed up.  And I know a lot of people who feel the same way.
