Happy Mind Reading Awareness Month

April showers bring May flowers and May 1st brings an entire 31 days (no shortchange here) dedicated to awareness of mind readers. Invented by blogger, Colby Marshall, and popularized by Miley Cyrus / Hannah Montana, mind-reading has become an important part of human technology in the 21st century. The Last Day of May Means it’s Time For Seriousness

Since today is the last day of May, I feel obligated to discuss something before we go hurtling into the month of June.  Specifically:

“Some are distracted by the so called “cuteness” of children that they never even suspect that something more sinister is at work.”

“Most susceptible to mind-readers are those who work in child care professions, teachers, nurses, etc.”

Both of which are quotes from Colby from an article on mind-reading.  As you should be well aware, May is Mind-Reading Awarenss Month and thank (insert your higher power)!  We learned so much during the month of may regarding Hannah Montana fans.  Specifically, in addition to mind-reading, they have the ability to conduct mind thought projection.  Furthermore, as has been suggested, paintballs may not be a strong enough deterrrent for the little rugrats.

Fittingly, teen idol Hannah Montana herself (or Miley Cyrus her other self) fell prey to the brain sucking powers of children during the month of May, when she accidentally posed scantily clad for Vanity Fair, despite the fact that she is 15 and Annie Liebowitz was the photographer.  If Hannah Montana can fall prey to the evils of her own followers, then anyone is susceptible.  It only takes a moment and, in that moment, Miley Cyrus got confused about being Hannah Montana and shed her garments.  The good news is the act lent credence to Mind-reader Awareness Month (M.A.M.) and showed just how important it is to be aware of young children who are suspiciously following, praising and holding on a pedastal another youngster – until of course, they pounce, like the predators they are.  So beware and be aware.  And, if you see a child, cover your head and run the other way and never, never feed them after midnight.

Hannah Montana Fans Capable of Mind Thought Projection?

Having detoured into less important areas such as war and politics with my last couple posts, I would like to right the ship of irreverence back onto a more relevant course.  With regard to May being Mind Reader Awareness Month, someone brought to my attention the possibility that in addition reading people’s minds, the little, grubby children (and yes, they are all grubby) may have the capacity to project thoughts into our minds.  It’s a scary thought.

To be perfectly honest, I am not fully aware of the all-encompassing mind power capabilities of young children bearing t-shirts of Hannah Montana.  For said expertise, I must defer to the expert on the Mind-Reading capabilities of the Hannah Montana fans, Colby.  However, I would like to pose a possibility.

If young Hannah Montana fans have perfected the art of mind thought projection, would it not be possible that fake Hannah Montana fans (aka Miley Cyrus fans, since she’s the fake Hannah Montana) have utilized their powers for evil against the fake Hannah Montana (aka Miley Cyrus)?  What I’m suggesting is perhaps the recent pictures of Miley Cyrus in Vanity Fair are the evil workings of these children gone.  Afterall, if Hannah Montana is capable of conjuring an army of mind-readers, then why can’t Miley Cyrus fall prey to such mind-readers once they’ve gained the ever-cherished ability to project thoughts into people’s minds?  It doesn’t seem so far-fetched to me – one of these kids may be mad at Miley Cyrus for posing as Hannah Montana, conjuring the evil that has been depicted in Vanity Fair.  Although, I must admit, I am not the expert and now defer to Colby.

What Do Masturbation and Baby Tossing Have in Common?

It has cum to my attention that May is the month of the Masturbate-a-thon (I wonder what keyword searches will send people to my blog today) .  It’s true.  In addition to being the month of Mind-Reading Awareness, Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day, on May 25th in San Francisco, California, “The Masturbate-a-thon is a fun fundraiser dedicated to supporting sex education and sexual safety.”  Now, if only I lived in San Francisco.  Seriously though, any of you internet people happen to be heading to San Francisco in, say, three weeks?  No?  Why not?

I never realized so many amazing activities occured in the month of May until recently.  The other day, Colby brought to my attention that in India people like to toss babies off roofs… for good luck, of course.  She even provided a video in her blog post on the topic.  Yes, the video contains babies being tossed off roofs, so be forewarned.

May Day

The NFL Draft is over, the Washington Redskins acquired a wealth of offensive talent, Jeremiah Wright is one amusing dude, Barack Obama has parted ways from the reverend, Miley Cyrus appeared scanitly clad in Vanity Fair and Hillary Clinton insists on taking Barack Obama to the ropes, as super delegates decide the next democratic presidential nominee.
Boston Legal is still a great show that addresses important and relevant current event issues and the LOST is on tonight, for the second week in a row with a new LOST episode. As if all that wasn’t enough, May is here, and as such, so is Mind-reading Awareness Month. Good times indeed.
Oh, did I mention one of my bosses tried to bribe me? While bribes are generally great to recieve, they are usually an indication of something else that is lacking. In the instance of a job, one might think a bribe could be an indication that a larger salary, a promotion or added benefits (such as vacation time) are required. But, I digresss, because Lost is about to come and it is, afterall, the best show on television, even though Boston Legal is also great. Gotta give some shout outs to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report also.

May is Mind-reading Awareness Month

Admittedly, it is not May quite yet. However, I’m bubbling over with anticipation and, apparently, so is Colby because May is Mind-reading Awareness Month.

In honor of the awareness month, which began merely as an awareness day, I interviewed Colby. Furthermore, Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana did her part by appearing scantily clad in Vanity Fair. So, the cat’s out of the bag folks. The word has spread. It can no longer be contained.
